Current, the accounting network that has grown to nearly 30 partner firms and more than 2,000 employees, is standardizing its entire operation on a single platform from Aiwyn. The move comes as the organization, which generates over $600 million in annual revenue, looks to replace a patchwork of disconnected tools with one integrated system.
The decision marks a shift for Current, which had previously allowed individual firms to choose their own software. Leadership said that approach created inefficiencies, with data scattered across different systems and no consistent way to manage client work or billing. By moving everyone onto Aiwyn, the network aims to streamline operations and give partners a unified view of their practices.
Aiwyn's platform handles client onboarding, automated billing, and payment collection, all within the firm's existing workflow. For a network of Current's size, that means eliminating manual steps that used to eat up staff time. The company expects the change to speed up month-end close and improve cash flow visibility across all member firms.
Current has grown quickly over the past few years, adding firms in multiple states and expanding its service lines. Executives say the technology overhaul is the next logical step in that growth, ensuring the network can scale without adding administrative overhead. They also see it as a way to attract new firms, offering them a modern infrastructure from day one.
The rollout will happen in phases, with the first group of firms going live in the coming months. Current plans to have all partner firms on the platform by the end of next year.
