High School Students Dive into Geospatial Technology at Summer Camp

A group of 22 students from over 20 high schools recently participated in the third annual summer camp dedicated to geospatial technology. Over the course of four days, these young learners engaged in hands-on activities that provided them with firsthand experience in this rapidly evolving field.

The camp focused on teaching students about the latest advancements in geospatial tools and techniques, including Geographic Information Systems (GIS), remote sensing, and data visualization. Participants had the opportunity to work on real-world projects, collaborating with peers and experts to solve complex problems using geospatial data.

In addition to technical training, the camp emphasized the importance of teamwork and communication skills, essential for future careers in technology and science. The event not only sparked students' interest in geospatial careers but also encouraged them to think critically about the role of technology in addressing global challenges. As the camp concluded, participants left inspired and better equipped for their future endeavors.
