Hillsborough Community College (HCC) has officially inaugurated its cutting-edge financial technology (fintech) program at the Brandon campus with a grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony held on May 28. This program, which commenced in spring 2025, stands out as one of only two fintech programs available at the two-year college level across the United States. It also marks a significant milestone as the first Associate in Science degree program focused on financial technology in the state of Florida.
The fintech program aims to equip students with essential skills and knowledge in a rapidly evolving industry that merges finance and technology. With the increasing demand for expertise in this field, HCC's initiative reflects a commitment to preparing students for lucrative careers in financial services, data analysis, and technological innovation. The program is designed to foster a new generation of professionals who are adept at navigating the complexities of the digital financial landscape, ensuring they are well-prepared to meet the challenges of tomorrow's workforce.
