A Southern California boutique law firm has created a dedicated practice group to help clients navigate artificial intelligence and other emerging technologies.
The new Artificial Intelligence and Emerging Technology Practice will advise businesses on the legal questions that come with adopting and deploying new tools. That includes issues around data privacy, intellectual property, regulatory compliance, and risk management.
The firm said the practice reflects growing demand from companies that are integrating AI into their operations and need guidance on how existing rules apply to unfamiliar technology. Clients range from startups building AI products to established businesses incorporating automation into their workflows.
Lawyers in the group will also work with clients on contracts, licensing arrangements, and governance policies meant to keep pace with fast-moving technical change. The firm noted that the legal landscape around AI is still developing, with new regulations and court decisions emerging regularly.
The practice is part of a broader trend among law firms to build specialized teams around artificial intelligence as adoption spreads across industries. The firm said the group will draw on attorneys from several existing practice areas to handle matters that cross traditional legal boundaries.
