Recently, a line crew in East St. Louis used the company's LineVue device on sub-transmission lines running between Sauget and Cahokia Heights. The device is designed to assess the health of critical infrastructure without requiring a full shutdown or manual inspection.

LineVue works by collecting data on the physical condition of power lines, including signs of corrosion or wear. This information helps engineers decide which lines need replacement first, rather than relying on scheduled maintenance or waiting for a problem to cause an outage.
