ValleyBike Share is set to revolutionize bike-sharing in the Pioneer Valley with the introduction of advanced electric bike technology. In partnership with Drop Mobility, the program will roll out a new generation of bikes and docking stations across the UMass Amherst campus and the Town of Amherst.
This upgrade aims to enhance the user experience, making it easier and more efficient for residents and students to access sustainable transportation options. The new bikes are designed to offer improved performance, increased battery life, and user-friendly features that cater to a diverse range of riders.
The phased rollout will see the new bikes and docking stations strategically placed throughout the service area, ensuring that users have convenient access to these upgraded vehicles. As part of a broader commitment to sustainability, this initiative not only promotes eco-friendly transportation but also aims to reduce traffic congestion and carbon emissions in the region.
ValleyBike Share's enhancements mark a significant step forward in providing reliable and modern bike-sharing solutions to the community.
