Microsoft Unveils A.I. Cybersecurity Tools

As concerns grow among business leaders about the security risks posed by artificial intelligence, Microsoft is betting that the same technology can be used to defend against those threats. The company unveiled a new suite of AI-driven cybersecurity tools on Wednesday, aiming to help organizations detect and respond to attacks faster than human teams can manage alone.

The new offerings include a security assistant that uses natural language processing to help analysts investigate breaches and a system that automatically patches vulnerabilities in real time. Microsoft executives argued that traditional security methods are no longer sufficient against sophisticated hackers who are already using AI to craft more convincing phishing emails and to find weaknesses in networks.

The move comes at a time when many executives are openly worried about the unintended consequences of AI. The new features will be available to current Microsoft security subscribers starting next month, with pricing based on the number of users and the level of automation required.
