eLEND has appointed Roman Ramora as its new chief technology and innovation officer, a move that signals the company's deepening commitment to modernizing its digital lending platform. Ramora, a veteran in financial technology, will oversee the company's technology strategy with a focus on artificial intelligence, cloud infrastructure, and digital lending solutions.
The hire comes as eLEND looks to streamline its loan origination and servicing processes through more advanced automation. Ramora's background includes leading large-scale tech transformations at several major financial firms, where he specialized in integrating machine learning models to improve credit decisioning and customer experience.
In his new role, Ramora will be responsible for building out eLEND's internal engineering teams and accelerating the deployment of cloud-native systems. The company aims to reduce processing times and offer more personalized loan products to borrowers. Ramora said in a statement that he plans to prioritize data security and regulatory compliance while pushing for faster innovation cycles.
eLEND has been expanding its digital footprint over the past year, and the addition of a dedicated technology chief is seen as a key step in staying competitive against both traditional banks and newer fintech startups. Ramora officially started his role earlier this month and reports directly to the CEO.
